Originally, the duo VELVET BLUES (Paul DeVille and Guillermo Stringa) and the duo THE GUEST (Virginia Yañez and Marc Milian) first met each others in a Jam Session at the Món Bohemi in February 2011. This is where is launched the idea of ​​a full band, creating THE VELVET BLUES BAND, at first, with the arrival of Guillermo Cervera. Then was Pablo Bazterrica the drummer who played with the band during three seasons. Christian Lopez Diaz and Irineu Lorente have also colaborate on drums. Since 2015 this position definitely passed into the hands of the argentine drummer Dante Falótico. With the departure of Guillermo Stringa, the band takes the name of SHUFFLE EXPRESS on October 20, 2016.
In its first year of life, the group has offered almost 100 concerts throughout the country.

Style and influences

SHUFFLE EXPRESS is strongly influenced by the blues, both traditional and contemporary, and has a wide range of references, played throughout his career, as for example Muddy Waters, James Cotton, Willie Dixon, Elmore James, Johnny Otis, Bobby Troup, Roy Montrell, Freddy King, Louis Jordan, Amos Milburn, Junior Wells, Little Walter, Buddy Guy, T-Bone Walker, among others.
